Mask - most important part of equipment. It is designed to protect the face (eyes, ears and mouth) from direct paintball hit. Paintballs are flaying approximately 330 km/h (300 f/s) and a hit to a body is not dangereous (even though it hurts a little), but a direct hit in the eye or ear could harm you.
Marker (gun) - it fires paintballs. In FunPoint we have ViewLoader Orion semi-automatic guns. Semi-automatic gun fires a paintball every time you press the trigger. Loader and the CO2 tank are attached to the marker.
CO2 tank CO2 tank - is attached to the rear end of the marker. Gas under pressure (CO2) helps to fire paintballs from the gun.
Loader - is attached to the upper side of the gun. There are paintballs inside the loader. Paintballs freefall in to the barrel (gun can not fire when it's upside down).
Paintballs - are spherical gelatin capsules containing primairly polyethylene glycol, other non-toxic and water-soluble substances, and dye. When paintballs hit an obstacle (player, tree, etc.) they burst and leave a mark. The dye from the paintballs is easily washable from clothing.
Protective clothing - protects you from the surroundings (our field is outdoors) and your clothes from dye and dirt (hitting a target paintballs burst leaving a mark).
Gloves - they are protecting your hands while playing.
Pod - a container for holding extra paintballs. |
